Though she always seems to wear her hair in an attractive updo bun, she surprised most people by wearing it down for the big speech last night.

In Touch Weekly magazine has awarded Rihanna with the best celebrity hair award. They really like her new angular bob.

Other stars in the top five were Jennifer Aniston (though she hasn't changed her hairstyle in 12 years), Vanessa Hudgens, Isla Fisher, and Gwyneth Paltrow.

A Hairstyle Makeover at Age 40

As Katie was turning 40 years old she decided to get a hairstyle makeover. She'd been wearing her hair long for about eight years and usually tied it in a ponytail. To celebrate entering her forties she decided to cut six inches off the length and to color it a lighter shade with fine highlights. Here's a video of how her hair looked before and after her hairstyle makeover;

B&A TV will explore all facets of beauty makeovers including not just hairstyles, makeup, cosmetic beauty and fashion but also any subject related to beautifying our surrounding environment.

'Before and after' transformation is the key focus of each show. We are launching with just one video, but our hope is that Before and After TV will soon be airing on a regular weekly schedule.

Hair Weaves Lead to Hair Loss for Naomi Campbell

{a The Sun http://www.thesun.co.uk/sol/homepage/news/article1230717.ece} is reporting that Naomi Campbell, age 38, is going bald because of her extensive use of hair weaves over the years. They spoke to one of her hairdressers who said she started losing her hair 15 years ago.

This is apparently a common condition known as tension hair loss or 'traction alopecia'. It is localized hair loss caused by damage to hair roots from constantly pulling hair too tight in the same direction. The hair loss is gradual, over years. Hair weaves can cause it because their extra weight pulls on the hair and because of the tight braiding required.

Sally Hershberger is a hair stylist who charges $800 per cut. Her celebrity clients include Donna Karan, Michelle Pfeiffer, Tom Cruise, Meg Ryan, Kate Capshaw, Steven Spielberg, Hillary Clinton, Courtney Love, Faith Hill, Renée Zellweger, Julia Roberts, Cindy Crawford, Calista Flockhart, Jane Fonda, and Kate Moss.

One doesn't need to be a celebrity to make a haircut appointment with her. Her flagship salon is in Downtown New York, but she also has a new one in Uptown New York and is opening a third in Los Angeles this spring.
