First Asian Model at Victoria's Secret Show

Liu Wen, age 21, will be the first Asian model at the annual pre-christmas Victoria's Secret fashion show. Three of the regular models are off having babies or recovering from having babies (Karolina Kurkova, Adriana Lima and Heidi Klum). Chanel Iman will also be making a first appearance as an Angel at this show.

Marissa Mayer as Glamour Woman

Marissa Mayer has been chosen as one of Glamour Magazine's women of the year. She's a senior VP at Google and was one of the first employees there. She plays a key role in setting Google's look and feel (and overall aesthetics). See Glamour's list of other women of the year here.

For those who want to show their shapewear underwear off to the world, DNKY is coming out with a new shapewear product called 'Smoothies'. They're available in some psychedelic colors. They come in bike short, high waist bike short and Capri styles. By early next year, you'll see them being sold in the hosiery departments for $15.

Virtual Clothing is a Big Deal

People in the US spent a whopping one billion dollars on virtual goods in 2009. This virtual shopping habit is expected to grow 60% higher in 2010.

A lot of this spending is by teenage girls who want to dress up their avatars on sites like IMVU, Meez, and IAC's Zwinky's.

H&M Sales are Up and Up

H&M, the Swedish affordable-fashion chain, plans to open 159 new stores by November. Worldwide, that is. Only two of the new stores are planned for the U.S. in the next quarter.

This YouTube video is a must see. It really captures the personality of Anna Wintour, editor of Vogue. Anna is known to be very direct and terse, not into small talk.

The September issue of Vogue is always the fattest most exciting issue in the fashion world. And now Vogue has released a video on YouTube they call the 'official trailer of the September issue." But it's all about Anna and it's very juicy.

It's hard to believe Anna is 61 years old. She keeps herself in very top shape. She says she gets up before 6:00am everyday to go play tennis. But when you look at these arms, she's probably got an arm exercise routine on top of the tennis.

Anna seemed to know very early on she would one day become the editor of Vogue. She's been the editor- in-chief there now for over 20 years. See the fab video below;
