April Spring is the designer of a new breed of women's underwear called FOXERS.

We wanted to interview her and ask about FOXERS.

CM: How did you ever come up with this idea and where were you in your life when you decided to stop whatever else you were doing and focus on selling comfortable and sexy underwear?

April: Hello Meg, Thank you for your interest in FOXERS. I came up with the idea to put the men's cotton boxer top, which has a history of peering above the men's jeans, while sitting at an outdoor cafe in Penang, Malaysia with my husband. I was noticing another thong showing on what could have been a cute outfit, when I said to my husband, we need to make a panty that is o.k. to stick out. Later I purchased a pair of boxers and a pair of women's boyshorts and had them sewn together to create what we now call Foxers boxers, which are patent pending.

Mendes, who used to be teased in school for her buck teeth (and who is now known for her 'best celebrity teeth') replaces Natalia Vodianova, age 26, (in photo below). Natalia, the famous Russian model, was Calvin Klein's choice for the past three or four years. SPANX- A Review of Pros and Cons

Stephanie Allmon asked four women to wear the various Spanx products for a month and has written up a good review of their body shaping products. Girdles for Men

The Wall Street Journal has an interesting article today about the growing demand for men's girdles. Although men's girdles are starting to sell in good numbers, compression underwear is rarely called a 'girdle'. Much more masculine sounding names are 'support boxers', 'compression shorts' and 'bodyshaping underwear'.

Some of the leading companies catering to this trend are Go Softwear, Andrew Christian, Undergear and Solidea.

The two girdles shown above are some of the many sold on Amazon today. The black shirt is a Cotton Concealer Compression Gynecomastia Muscle Shirt It stretches and recoils as your body moves but on the inside are powerful layers of nylon spandex knit binding your chest, flattening your belly and pressing against your back in support. Wear it to workout or down the street, the compression is a secret between you and your shirt.

A Divorce in Erotic Underwear

Joe Corré and Serena Rees seperated over a year ago and are getting divorced now.

They are the owners and founders of 'the world's most erotic lingerie' company - Agent Provocateur.

The rumor is that as a result of the divorce proceedings, Agent Provocateur is dropping Lily Allen from their latest ad campaign. Serena picked her and signed her on but Joe, who is creative designer, and who is now running the show without Serena, does not want her. Their previous celebrity models include Kate Moss and Kyle Minogue. (Their commercial with Kyle Minogue was so racy it was banned).

Joe and Serena met in 1992. They started Agent Provacateur in 1994. Here's an excerpt from an interview with them a few years ago. What they have done is to increase the peekaboo factor in modern office relationships. All over the nation, lady workers are giving their colleagues, of both sexes, sudden glimpses of mauve or baby-blue bra-strap or camisole string that implies, in a tip-of-the-iceberg way, some expensively sexy raiment at the end of it, and a matching riot of exotic underpinnings further down. You may have turned us all, I say, into a shocking bunch of voyeurs.

KnickerPicker Creates Real Virtual Models

Things are really starting to heat up in the virtual model dressing room space.

Here's the newest way to shop with a 'virtual' model and try on different lingerie. This is just a demo beta version but you can definitely see the appeal it will have with both male and female shoppers.

KnickerPicker hired three women of various body shapes to model lingerie. The user can direct them by choosing which lingerie they model and by click-ordering them to turn around or walk closer. It's easy to project that many men might spend hours on this site, and will likely start buying much more lingerie online as gifts.

The site has only been up for three months. By January 24th, they had reached 500,000 unique visitors and said they were averaging between 30,000 to 50,000 uniques a day. Only two weeks later they reported they had reached 1,000,000 unique visitors to date.

The Spanx Bra

This month SPANX is launching their new bra the Spanx Bra-llelujah!.

They've applied for a patent for this unique bra which they say completely banishes visible bra lines and minimizes back fat. It's made from a special hosiery fabric "that automatically conforms to the body like a second skin".

The fabric content is 91% Nylon and 9% Spandex.

Unfortunately some people at Amazon are commenting that although it is very flattering from the back side, it is not so flattering to the overall figure as it flattens you out. Has anyone here tried it?

Actress Gemma Atkinson is a bigger busted woman and she has just signed on to represent a lingerie company for a new brand aimed at women with large breasts. Here is one of the 'big cup' lingerie selections she models for Ultimo D-G.

The company's founder says "Ultimo D-G provides lingerie solutions and fashion collections that big cup women have only dreamed of!”

She also says the idea for her lingerie business stemmed from the realization that there was a gap in the market for a comfortable cleavage enhancing bra. The Ultimo bra uses patented technology of liquid silicone gel.

Petra Nemcova Looks Good in Lingerie

Here's Petra Nemcova in the new ad campaign for La Senza lingerie. Not many people know that La Senza lingerie is actually owned by the same company that owns Victoria's Secret. The parent company of both is called Limited Brands and they had sales of about $11 billion in 2006.
