Greetings!
I am SO sorry you had such a bad experience. This is 4th day post op for me for smart lipo on my upper arms here in Dallas. My experience was just the opposite of yours--I am thrilled, and I think it may have to do with the technology as well as the doctor. My doc used the latest - MPX - to do mine, and I have to say I am shocked at how quick the recovery is--hardly ANY drainage (after the first change after 24 hours in which only 2 of the 8 total incision bandages had much fluid at all)I went straight to band-aids which aren't even needed -I just don't want to expose the incisions under the garment, which, by the way, I can hardly find when I am cleaning them. I was expecting the worst, and was pleasantly surprised the whole way - staff was great, Dr. Bill Johnson was awesome, and even with the swelling I can see slight results already, and I know it will just get better. No lumpiness at all - for bruising I am taking helichrysum in rosehips seed oil - a miracle for bruising if there ever was one! I was most afraid that my skin wasn't elastic enough for just lipo (I'm 48 and never had great skin) but the doc said he saw tightening during the actual procedure, so I am cautiously optimistic - it looks good now but I'm not sure how much is swelling, I will know for sure of course a month or so down the line. But tightening is supposed to continue, so I think it's all good from here. I say the keys are: MPX technology (or at least no less than 18 watts if regular smart lipo), doctor references and helichrysum (with or without rosehip seed oil). So far, I am amazed at the fact that I was up and around the next day with minimal problem. yes, there is some pain, but it is TOTALLY worth it!
