iVillage has some great examples of real people submitting before and after photos of their makeovers. Here is one young woman who decided to go blonde. She had tried it on her own previously, but her hair turned orange. The after photo shown here is after she had her hair professionally colored.

Here's a second example of a woman who had had the same hairstyle for years. Very long and plain. She decided to take a bold step and get bangs as well as dye it black. She says the bangs made a big difference.

Although over 140 people have submitted photos, only a few of the examples are actual before and after makeover examples. They need to get more people participating. It's a good opportunity to see your own before and after photo at a very popular site.
