With the economy (in the US at least) pretty much in the dumps, it makes sense to look at lower-cost cosmetic surgery options, and from what I've heard more and more people are indeed going overseas. But there's a reason to be cautious...after all, surgery is surgery, and safety is a major issue no matter where you have your procedure performed. I work with a surgeon who performs eyelid surgery in Columbia, Maryland and I'm not trying to promote him specficially but I do believe in the benefits of having your procedure in the U.S., even if you live overseas. Our healthcare system has it's problems, but we have extremely high levels of technology and safety devices that protect patients and help them recover faster. Something to think about...how much do you have to save to put your safety at risk?
