Dr. Blaise Ryan is an acupuncturist who wants to spread the word that cosmetic accupuncture is a healthy and effective alternative to surgery. He says that cosmetic surgery (and injections such as botox) are a band-aid solution to aging skin. They don't help the health of the skin and can pose serious health risks.

He says it is free radical damage that causes wrinkles and sagging skin. Free radicals destroy skin cells and collagen producing cells and are at the root of aging skin.

Dr. Ryan's clinic provides acupuncture facelifts. Their Facial Rejuvenation Acupuncture technique "tightens the skin, increasing collagen and improving elasticity so the face becomes more taut. It softens and smoothens wrinkles and brings color to the cheeks, defines the cheekbones, raise the eyebrows and tightens a double chin, creating an overall younger appearance."
