Silicone Breasts are Back

Submitted by Meg Wilson on September 11, 2006 - 07:33.

Silicone gel-filled breast implants were pulled off the market in 1992 due to health concerns. They remained in use only for medical cases such as mastectomy. For the majority of breast augmentation, plastic surgeons were using saline-filled breast implants.

But saline-filled implants don't feel as natural as silicone. And it looks as though we will see silicone breast implants approved again by the FDA for general use by the end of this year.
