Sophia Loren has probably just set the world record for the oldest woman to appear in a famous calendar edition which typically features nude and famous models.

Other women appearing in the 2007 edition will include Naomi Watts, Hilary Swank and Penelope Cruz.

Loren, 71, was born in 1934. She is recognized as one of the most beautiful celebrities of the 20th century but her heyday was in the 1950's, 60's and 70's.

The calendar is not for sale. There are only about 30,000 issues that go out each year as gifts to preferred customers. It's put out by Italian tire manufacturer Pirelli, and was first published in 1964.
