In 2004 the Oprah Show gave facial thread lifts their first big exposure. But doctors have since reported complications from this procedure including scarring, indentations, bunching, dimpling, broken or lapsed threads and asymmetry. A plastic surgeon in St. Louis has polled 51 plastic surgeons and 30 of them said they thought thread lifts created more problems than they solved.
