See the video below where Lesley Scott discusses fashion for Spring 2010, and dubs the new trend as "Futuristic Chic". She says "it's very Blade Runner'y, very tough, and in some cases, quite androgynous."

Head over to Harper's Bazaar to see some glam photos of Susan Boyle. They've dressed her up in some glamorous clothes and we love her new hair and makeup style. The top she is wearing in this photo is the Donna Karan New York sweater. It's available at Saks Fifth Avenue (though you won't find it listed on their website). The closest related Donna Karan fashion piece shown on their website is the sequined cashmere/silk tank top ($750.00) (as in photo above).
Here's an ad campaign we predict great success for. It's Mick Jagger's daughter, Georgia May, in a pair of Hudson Jeans. She's only 17 years old and was sighned on to a modelling agency last year.
The video of the week at The Cut is a serendipitous run-into Daphne Guiness on the streets of New York. They describe her as
The Daphne Guinness who vacations with Oscar de la Renta at his house in the Dominican Republic. The Daphne Guinness who possesses one of the most impressive collections of fashion items on the planet. The Daphne Guinness whose clothes make her outshine people like Naomi Campbell. We bumped into her on the street, and she kindly stopped to talk to our video camera about her clothes. She was impossible to miss in her seven-inch heels and tight black dress by L’Wren Scott.
H&M, the Swedish affordable-fashion chain, plans to open 159 new stores by November. Worldwide, that is. Only two of the new stores are planned for the U.S. in the next quarter.
H&M retail sales have shown healthy growth during the financial meltdown. See a summary of their recent performance and future growth plans here. Below is a cool video from one of their recent ad campaigns;
This YouTube video is a must see. It really captures the personality of Anna Wintour, editor of Vogue. Anna is known to be very direct and terse, not into small talk.
The September issue of Vogue is always the fattest most exciting issue in the fashion world. And now Vogue has released a video on YouTube they call the 'official trailer of the September issue." But it's all about Anna and it's very juicy.
It's hard to believe Anna is 61 years old. She keeps herself in very top shape. She says she gets up before 6:00am everyday to go play tennis. But when you look at these arms, she's probably got an arm exercise routine on top of the tennis.
Anna seemed to know very early on she would one day become the editor of Vogue. She's been the editor- in-chief there now for over 20 years. See the fab video below;
Robin Givhan writes an entertaining article about the recent decision by Jimmy Choo to make an affordable shoe collection for H&M. She also discusses women's love affair with shoes;
Shoes have always been fashion's great equalizer. A woman is never too fat or too old, too short or too thin to indulge in this singular luxury. She may not wear the highest heel or the thickest platform, but she can always take part in the fantasy.
Designer ready-to-wear, by contrast, has always been an exclusive club. Simply because a woman has a hefty bank account does not mean she can wear Balenciaga. She must be blessed with legs like a gazelle. The majority of designer ready-to-wear also maxes out at a size 10 or 12.
But a woman who finds herself relegated to a plus-size dress shop can find her shoe size in even the snootiest fashion boutique. Shoes allow a woman to participate in all the status-chasing and snobbery that fashion has to offer.
Sarah Palin is back in the news with her interest in the 2012 presidential bid. Here she is in New York attending a Yankee game with ex-Mayor Giuliani and his wife. Those sunglasses really suit her. Anyone know what brand this is?
