We've been absent from posting for a couple of weeks. Some sad events have occurred around here. 'Sad' would be an understatement for the melancholy around here now. But the worst is over, so we are back.

A Girdle 'Secret' by Jessica Alba

Jessica Alba, age 27, has been wearing a girdle since giving birth.

“I wore a girdle,” Alba told Elle magazine for its March issue, when asked about how she looked slim after childbirth.

“Eight weeks after my girlfriend had her baby, you could see her six-pack,” Alba said. “She told me to put an elastic band around my waist — any kind of band or girdle works. She was like, ‘I slept in it.’ I didn’t recover as fast as she did. I don’t have a six-pack — that’s just not my body at all.”

Alba, 27, also talked about working out for a photo shoot for Club Campari’s annual calendar.

The workouts “were horrible,” she told Elle. “I cried. And I haven’t worked out since.”

Barbie Turns 50

Barbie turns 50 this year and Mattel is celebrating by doing a makeover on the old Barbie and creating a new more 'understated' look. See the video below by Reuters News. Here we see Mattel unveil their latest Barbie at the Nuremberg Toy Fair as the celebrations marking the doll's 50th birthday begin.

Mattel also hired several young real-life look-alike Barbies for this event.
