Jeans for Mom?

Here's a parody commercial about 'mom jeans'. They're the high-waisted ones with the nine inch zippers.

It's meant to be funny but it would leave a bit of a sour taste with many moms. The models are not fat, they are not even overweight, and can all wear their tops tucked-in no problem. What does this say about the rest of us moms?

Not really too funny, but we still saw some fun in it.

See a much funnier parody video, about perfume - made just for one night stands ("Not all women are looking for Mr. Right. Sometimes they might just want a little company for the evening.") on this page, it is #8.

Eva Mendes as Sophia Loren

Submitted by Meg Wilson on May 9, 2008 - 06:51.

Eva Mendes is featured in a racy photoshoot in the May issue of Italian Vogue, posing as a Sophia Loren look-alike from the retro 1950's-60's. Vogue Italia is not known for favoring celebrities for their covers. This is probably only the second time they've featured a celebrity instead of a fashion model on their cover. The photos are by the famous photographer Steven Meisel. See the photos.

The Aging Nose

Submitted by Meg Wilson on May 9, 2008 - 08:13.

Unfortunately not even the nose is immune to aging. As we get older, the nose tends to droop; the dorsum begins to appear convex with a droopy tip.

Not everyone will experience this to the same degree but see an interesting discussion of the aging nose at the Rhinoplasty Surgery Blog.
