Alessandra Ambrosio's YouTube Channel

Submitted by Meg Wilson on December 12, 2008 - 09:32.

Alessandra Ambrosio is a supermodel who's starting her own YouTube channel. She's only the second one to do this as far as we know. ( Chanel Iman was first a few weeks ago.)

Ambrosio is a Victoria's Secret 'Angel' and she recently became a new mom.

She's starting the channel with the help of her close friend who is a filmmaker. She's got two videos up already but her channel, which will be all about the daily life of a supermodel, doesn't officially debut until January.

The idea is to do a continuing series of videos about 'a model's life'.

See her second video below. It's about taking a dive into the ocean at St. Barts;

Bettie Page on YouTube

Submitted by Meg Wilson on December 12, 2008 - 11:08.

Bettie Page died today at age 85. She was one of the most popular models of the 1950's. She didn't start her modeling career until age 27 and decided to retire at age 34, when many considered her at the peak of her career.

She had a very sad upbringing. She says her family was so poor she was happy to get an orange in her Christmas stocking. Her father abused her and her parents divorced when she was ten years old. See her sad bio at WSJ today, as well as on Wikipedia.

Below is a TV interview she did in 1997. (She would not allow anyone to see her and wanted to be remembered as she looked when she was young.)

The Flip is going to be a huge best-seller this Christmas. It's made by a private company based in San Francisco called Pure Digital Technologies. They have about 75 employees and are looking to fill a lot of new job positions so tell any of your friends who may be looking for marketing or technical computer work.
