How to Look Younger
by Heather Johnson
Everyone wants to look younger these days; it consumes many of us. There’s nothing wrong with this at all as it’s completely natural. Looking younger helps us feel younger and allows us to tackle the world with a greater tenacity. This can help us professionally and personally. The proper attitude will help you achieve your goals at work and strive for promotions, while helping you in your amorous endeavors. Here are a few tips for you to consider if you’re looking to change your look to a younger version of you:
1. Avoid the dark lipsticks. Brown lipsticks can age you. Matte lipsticks, for that matter, also can add years to your face. Consider going with a gloss that instantly makes you look younger.
2. Go with a shorter hair style. Consider cutting your hair so it’s between your shoulders and chin. The shorter the hair they younger you look. It gives you that playful, innocent look that you’re searching for.
3. Pay attention to posture – it’s that important. Standing tall and straight will give you a slimmer look and make you look a bit younger. Standing this way will give you a more confident look which goes hand-in-hand with looking younger.
4. Sleep is extremely important. The effects of a solid night’s sleep can’t be understated. The puffy bags that gather under your eyes can make you look even older than you are. These appear when you’ve deprived yourself of sleep. Try to maintain a regulated sleep pattern. This can be difficult, especially in the summer, but do it for your skin. It helps eliminate wrinkles as well.
5. Whiten up your smile. As you get older your teeth get more yellow after years of drinking coffee, wine or smoking. Many tooth paste companies now have teeth whitening tooth paste or whitening strips that are sold over the counter. This is a cheaper alternative to getting your teeth bleached.
6. Go to a creamier blush. Creamy blushes will soften your skin and make you look years younger. Powder-based blushes can settle in your lines or wrinkles. The creamier products will give your skin plumpness.
7. Resist the urge to over pluck your eye brows. As you get into your 30s and 40s you’ll be less apt to have your eye brows grow back. This is obviously just an ugly look and something you’ll want to avoid like the plague.
