I bought an iPod Touch several months ago and just love it. I use it a couple of hours each day. It's the new portable computer. I love to listen to podcasts when I go for walks and I catch up to all the blogs and websites I subscribe to with it.

I've been thinking that instead of wearing earphones it would be nice to have quality speakers for it for when I'm listening in my office or kitchen. I've asked a couple of friends who are much bigger gadget buyers than me and they both recommended the Bose sounddock speaker system.It's pricey, ($300) but the sound is incredible. Right now I don't have good speakers anywhere in my house (and I almost never listen to music in my living room) so this makes more sense than getting a big living room quality sound system for me. I checked out the reviews on Amazon and most people rave about it.

So I am hoping to treat myself to this new toy in the next couple of weeks. I can't wait to listen to my iPod with glorious sound filling the room.

Update: Well, I bought the Bose Sounddock version II. I would'nt go as far to say the sound is 'glorious' but it is a huge improvement and I'm very happy with it.
