Christie Hefner, age 56, is resigning from her role as CEO and Chairman of Playboy Enterprises. Playboy was founded by her father, Hugh Hefner. Christie Hefner has worked there since finishing college. She became vice president five years after starting there, and has been the CEO for twenty years.

After such a career, what might she be thinking of doing next?

Being part of the Obama team, it sounds like.

In an interview on CNBC this morning she said "Like many Americans, I've been struck by the call to service that was the hallmark of the campaign, and I was an early supporter of Senator Obama, now President-Elect Obama, and I believe deeply in what he wants to do for our country. I'll be looking for ways in which I can serve to be helpful in that regard."
