Sheryl Crow's Jeans

Submitted by Meg Wilson on July 31, 2008 - 08:58.

Sheryl Crow, age 46, still looks great in jeans. Now she is starting her own fashion line and with the help of her personal stylist, she is launching a denim-based collection called Bootheel Trading Co. by Sheryl Crow.

The main items will be 'eco-friendly' jeans, vintage tees and vests. They will be affordable, with the jeans retailing for under $62 and the tops going for less than $36. We'll start seeing them in stores this fall.

Update August 8th: Her denim collection is to be called Americana but unfortunately for branding purposes, a building supply company already has ownership of Americana.com

I bought these jeans in Texas. They fit perfectly, and I didn't want heavy jeans because it's really hot in here... I am really happy with what I got. I absolutely agree - they make butt look like 18 and flattens tummy. And they do not stretch, which is awesome.

I've been looking all over for these jeans, because they fit so well! What store did you get them at? I'm looking for the "Kennett" with the tourquiose rivets in front. I really appreciate your response back thank you

I am planning on giving away ALL my Levis and Tommy H jeans and stocking up on these jeans. I bought them at a Dillards store in Texas. They didn't have my length. But the fit was so PERFECT that I had to have them.
My shape is not curvy. 155 lbs, 5'3". I have a lower tummy bulge from having a c-sect. All other tight pants never fit so that I can conceal the extra tummy. These pants go low enough to perfectly sit on this and high in the back to prevent muffin top. And they make my weird looking flat small butt look like an 18 year olds. The material is lighter than some other brands. Thank you Sheryl for that. It gets HOT in Texas. I can't stand thinking about wearing thick stiff jeans in 100 degree heat! The turquoise rivits are very nice. The pockets have some lining showing because that is the intention. It adds interest. The fading color is PERFECT. I lOVE the extra panels of jean material here and there and the embroidery is so casual and upscale at the same time. For the first time in years I am able to tuck in my shirts. No front butt, no bulge, no c section roll showing! You have to try these on!

I bought a pair online @ Dillards. Love em. They fit great. I love the back stiching. I love them so much, I just ordered 2 additional pair. I'm a jean collector. I normally wear Cruel Jeans or Seven. Bootheel jeans fit better then both of them.

I just bought a pair of Bootheel jeans. I tried on so many brands at Dillards, and this was my favorite fitting pair. Almost every jeans type has spandex in them now, but not the Bootheels, which is why I liked them and how they fit. Pricey, yes. It was outside of my budget, but I figured I would buy them anyway because it's so hard to find that perfect pair of jeans. Liked the color/washing and unique stitching, and they are very comfortable to wear. I do notice the higher rise in the back, and I'm not sure I like that after having worn the jeans all day. The sizing was inconsistent. I tried on size 30/8 - 32" length in two styles, one of which I could not pull up comfortably, the other fit perfectly. Overall, I'm pleased with these jeans. But, for the price, it's one pair for me. Marketing should consider ajusting the price point down to around $40, then I'll buy two or three more pairs.

I bought two pair of these online from Dillards when they were on sale - yeah! I love them. However, I ordered long and one was 32" and one was 34". When I called I was told they don't sell them anywhere in the store near me and didn't have a 32" in the type I wanted. I had them shortened and love them. I don't think the quality control at Dillard's was very good though. When you order "long" online you can get 32" or 34". I wish they'd go on sale again because I'd buy more. I love them. I have worn Victoria Secret's jeans for years. Bootheel jeans are awesome.

these jeans are not the quality i'd expect at dillards, or for 65.00.
the pockets are short, lightweight, stick out in front.
on the leg seams, some stitching caught, some didn't.
the denim is so lightweight, there isn't even a feel of control. one leg is longer than the other one.
if i hadn't washed them, i'd sure take them back.
detail is pretty, on poor quality jean. anyone can do that!

so what stores will carry these?

ladies, i'm telling you. don't order these online.
go to dillards, try them on, then picture washing them. they are thin, erratic stitching, mismatched leg lengths, you'll be sorry.

It was harder then heck to track these jeans down but they are being sold on the internet at www.Dillards.com and they're not even promoting it so i went to women...clicked on jeans and scrolled over to page 2 til i found boatheel trading company, and if you want to get the jeans that don't show your...um...crack when you bend over, you have to get the jeans that have "risers."

Everyone has been so excited about these jeans coming out. Mostly because of the fact that they were suppose to be made for women who have trouble with panty peak in the back. It has been said, they are going to be higher in the back and low in the front. Well it is not that way. They look good from the front , but in the back they are even lower then the normal jeans I buy. Levi Slouch are better as far as hiding your panties. Someone should show these people what real women are looking for. I wish I could....

I wasn't able to find that out anywhere. I don't think it's been announced yet. Also, I don't think there is a working website yet. We tried bootheel.com, bootheeltrading.com, bootheeldenim.com, boothealtradingco.com and all these sites came up blank.

cheers,
meg

i looked on the Dillard's site, but the description doesn't give good explainations. only one of the pants gives the inseem... and the other doesn't. are they low or high rise?

Submitted by Guest (not verified) on October 10, 2008 - 15:41.

it's hard to tell the style unless you try them on.
the sizing is confusing. i sure wouldn't order online.
they are at dillards. 65.00
better look before you buy, i've had better quality in wrangler, and i've bought almost every style jean there is. i don't mind paying over $100, but expect a good jean for it.
