How to Find Your Correct Size For Online Clothes Shopping

Submitted by Meg Wilson on March 10, 2008 - 05:59.

Wouldn't it be nice if you could shop online and know you are ordering the right size?

Different brands always seem to be different sizes even if your own size stays constant. But there is a website out there that's going to fix this for us and make it much more fun to shop for clothes online.

Size Me Up is asking people to select the best fitting brand-name tops and bottoms in their closet and to submit these sizes and brand names into the database. Based on these numbers Size Me Up will be able to tell you the size that will fit you in all the brand names below;

* Abercrombie & Fitch
* Aeropostale
* American Apparel
* American Eagle Outfitters
* Ann Taylor
* Ann Taylor Loft
* Arizona
* Banana Republic
* BCBG Max Azria
* BCBGirls
* Charlotte Russe
* Chico's
* Coldwater Creek
* dELIA*s
* Eddie Bauer
* Express
* Forever 21
* Gap
* H&M
* Hanes
* Hollister
* J. Crew
* Jones New York
* Juicy Couture
* Land's End
* Lane Bryant
* Liz Claiborne
* Merona
* Moda International
* Mossimo
* New York & Company
* Old Navy
* Ralph Lauren
* SO
* Talbots
* The Limited
* Tommy Hilfiger
* Venezia
* Victoria's Secret
* Wet Seal

As an example, if you wear size 10 Gap Jeans (Regular, Boot Cut) you will need a size 12 if you shop for American Eagle Outfitters (Regular, Artist) and a size 32 for Adriano Goldschmied (Club).

It seems like a great idea if they can get enough data. See their site at Size Me Up.
