Christy Turlington - Yoga for the Best Complexion?

Christy Turlington, age 39, is one of the top supermodels of past years. She retired from modeling at the age of 25 and went on to develop a serious yoga practice and to start a couple of clothing businesses as well as having returned to modeling contracts recently.

Turlington told Vogue magazine a couple of years ago that she would never use Botox and that "it actually makes me feel happier about my face when I look at people my age...who've had it done."

But despite swearing off any kind of cosmetic surgery enhancements she has amazing skin for her age. Maybe her secret is all the regular yoga she does. Six years ago she wrote a book about how yoga has changed her life - Living Yoga: Creating A Life Practice

I have always suspected that Christy Turlington has had plastic surgery though she professes to be such a spiritually enlightened, "purist". I looked at a picture of her today from her childhood on www.celebphotos.com and she most certainly had her nose altered and her lips are SIGNIFICANTLY thinner than the full lips she has been sporting.

Guest: I think that you have Christy all wrong. She is anything but a phoney. As a businesswoman, model, author, contributing editor to Marie Claire, CARE Ambassador, Project (RED) Supporter, Columbia University Masters candidate, mother of two lovely kids and spouse to Ed Burns, she excels with real class and honest to goodness compassion. She is the real deal. Judge her beauty not just by her fabulous looks, but by her fabulous deeds. Christy is super.

I thoroughly agree with Sara...not only is Christy blessed with what many have called "the face of the Millenium," she is also a true humanitarian. She gives herself freely to multiple charitable organizations, and is a great example of a successful woman who carefully balances her home life with work. She is honestly one of the very few models who have used there celebrity to support some truly noble causes. If you think back to the other "supermodels"...what have most of them really given back?

In terms of her having any work done, Christy's face has naturally evolved. She recently said that only now is she truly comfortable in her own skin because she is persuing the life she always wanted. She isn't the kind of petty mess that would need the crutch of plastic surgery to make her feel complete. I live in Boca, trust me, I see that type everyday, and it's not what Christy is.
