Carla Bruni, the French president's new girlfriend is now being featured in a two-page spread in a men's magazine wearing nothing but a diamond ring and some high leather boots. Even the French population, which is much more liberally minded in these things, finds this latest photo shoot a bit much for a woman who could soon be their First Lady.

The President's voter ratings have been going straight down since his separation from second wife Cecilia Sarkozy and his pairing up with Carla Bruni.

Der Spiegel says that Carla Bruni, 39, "has stripped for a spread in the Spanish men's magazine DT and allowed herself to be photographed in come-hither poses. But while a photo shoot like that may be routine for a top model, it could escalate into a national scandal for the woman apparently posed to become France's next first lady."
