Laurie Coleman, age 51, is the wife of Republican Senator Norm Coleman. Here's the commercial for the product via YouTube. This little $19.95 gadget may sell like hotcakes as it is quite an appealing pitch. She says "Anything that helps the family and pays the bills is good."

Being a senator's wife will get her some great free press for this product. (There is a big write-up in the Washington Post about it.) But imagine the inequities of it all. Imagine the free publicity if she was not just a Senator's wife but the First Lady instead.
