A Virtual Model for Weight Loss - The Video

Submitted by Adriana Rae on June 16, 2007 - 13:01.

We've just created our first YouTube video. It's the virtual model for weight loss that we developed last year. It's meant to be fun and motivational imagery for anyone who is in the process of losing weight.

We chose the music from an excerpt by Bedrock on the fabulous Trainspotting CD.The video is only half a minute in length. Hope you enjoy it!

This is a terrible and unrealistic program. I decided to test the program by taking a current weight of 185 and reducing it incrementally from a goal of 160 to a goal of 60 pounds. The goal view did not look any different once I passed 150.

in the 137 to 125 range I should have looked stick thin and anything below and down to 60 pounds should have given me a warning of made me look like a starvation victim instead of a healthy happy red dressed girl.

Hi, thanks much for your comment. The version you were looking at is no longer available precisely for the reason you state. We've updated the model so that it is not possible to go below 18 BMI. We definitely don't want to encourage people to try to become stick thin and we don't want people to use this virtual model to see how they might look like if they were skeletally skinny.
