Did Miss Japan Have Eyelid Surgery?

Submitted by Meg Wilson on May 31, 2007 - 08:37.

Some people are speculating that the beautiful Miss Japan, who is now Miss Universe, had upper eyelid surgery. If anyone knows of some before and after pics, please let us know, we will link to them here.

Update: Apologies for the error on this post. Initially we had a photo of Miss Korea here in error. Many people have written in to say that Miss Japan did not have any cosmetic surgery.

Update: A reader has left a comment and link below where they say the first two photos on their link are before and after photos of Riyo Mori. A second reader left the comment that the 'before' photo is not Riyo Mori. It is someone else. Other readers have since confirmed this, so I've removed this link from this update. (No room for excuses here, you are witnessing amateur blog journalism at its worst.)

See more photos on Riyo Mori's official blog.

Below is a video of the finalists in the Miss Japan Universe competition earlier this year.

Yes, the writer need to have fuken brain surgery.
Messed up with Mr. Korea and Ms. Japan...
Ms. Korea is fuken full of surgery.. More than 80% of the participant of Miss Korea has the plastic surgery and More than 75% of Korean do not have eyelid fold, unlike Japanese.

Why don't u make another post saying SORRY to Miss Japan Riyo Mori before you think and actually post the fucken false information.

Riyo's flat nose and single eyelids are hers charming points even now.

you should check the picture before you post. the pics on the website( http://enjoykorea.jp/tbbs/read.php?board_id=teconomy&page=6&nid=2996104)that you linked is WRONG. it is NOT before and after photo. some pics is Riyo Mori, but some pics is Kurara Chibana who was Miss Japan on 2006.

Does CM want to apologize again? lol :D
I do not trust "before and after photos of Riyo Mori" because one of them is a photo of Kurara Chibana who is Miss Japan in 2006. CM must NOT post such a malicious web site without any verification.

REALLY?! Then how come ALL the double eyelid tape, glue, etc. are made in Japan? Don't tell me that the fuken Japanese created these b/c they did for the Koreans. And check out http://www.nationmaster.com/graph/hea_pla_sur_pro-health-plastic-surgery-procedures
Japan is the 4th country to have the MOST plastic surgery while Korea is 15th!!

that it's true that majority of japanese DO have so-called double eyelid. i lived there, and i felt the impression of their eyes were rounder and wider compared with other asians like koreans. don't know why, but i guess it's their mild temper shown in their faces.
though, i can't deny that there were really thin eyed japanese girls. i guess those beauty tools are just another great invention japan has made to satisfy all kinds of clients.

She is a ms KOREA, NOT a Miss Japan.
Are you intentionally written it?

I agree Miss Japan is also not beautiful, and her spoken English sounds strange, similar to Korean accent.
I thought Korean was talking on TV.
