The Washington Post has a good overview today about the recent dramatic rise in demand for cosmetic surgery by blacks, Hispanics and Asians. Four years ago minorities accounted for 16 percent of plastic surgery patients, but that number has now surged to 23 percent.
They interview the surgeons at a popular clinic in Washington D.C., the Cultura Medical Spa, where two-thirds of the patients are nonwhite. See their story here.
