Silicone Implants and MRI Costs

The FDA approved silicone implants for breast augmentation again last November. But it did so with the stipulation that patients follow-up with a MRI scan every two years thereafter starting three years after the surgery. The M.R.I costs between $1,000 to $2,200, and is not likely to be covered by insurance.

See a good overview about this issue at the New York Times today. The above photo is the lovely Pamela Anderson.
