Avril Lavigne has really been piling on the eyeliner lately. She told Lucky magazine that her makeup routine includes 'tons of mascara and eyeliner'. This look is extreme and quite beyond the smokey look that is already very trendy. But we may start seeing more women following Avril along in applying very heavy black eye makeup.

The before picture you see here was taken a few years ago. It would be hard to get a recent photo of her not wearing makeup.

This week Lavigne attracted further massive attention for posing topless in the Blender Magazine June edition. But she says she was not topless at all when they took the photo. In fact she was wearing a blue tank top and the whole photo was retouched. She said she agreed to this topless picture on the cover because she wants to be considered for 'darker cinematic roles'.
