Frederique van der Wal, age 39, is a Dutch supermodel who used to be a top Victoria's Secret lingerie model in the 1980's. She is now promoting Restylane dermal filler as the official new face of Restylane.

Allergan, the giant company that makes Botox, just recently started to compete with the makers of Restylane. Their competing product is called Juvederm. It's a hyaluronic acid just like Restylane but it's being touted as lasting longer than Restylane.

With the new competition, we can expect to see Medicis Aesthetics (the makers of Restylane) begin a much more aggressive marketing campaign this year.
