Tanning Creams Versus Tanning Salons

A glowing suntan is definitely attractive on most people and fake, sunless ways of providing a tan are a huge business. But how to go about getting a sunless tan that looks great and isn't harmful to the skin?
In an eye-opening article about this Diane Kockler interviews Doctor Kunin who says "spending 20 minutes in a tanning bed is equal to spending an entire day on a tropical beach without sunscreen. I understand why people like a little color, but don't get in a tanning bed. It's a carcinogen."
Tanning creams on the other hand are considered safe for the skin and body. And they have improved a lot over the past thirty years. You no longer risk looking orange after applying them. See her discussion about tanning creams here.
