Breast enlargement surgeries are gaining in popularity. They outnumbered rhinoplasty last year for the first time to become the most popular of all the various kinds of cosmetic surgeries. A breast implant involves the insertion of a saline or silicone filled implant to enlarge breast size, enhance the shape or improve asymmetry.

The current issue of New Beauty Magazine (Winter Spring) has a good summary of what it would cost to have various cosmetic surgery procedures. For breast enlargement surgery, they say the average cost varies between $3,500 and $8,000. They also outline most of the risks that can come up with breast surgery including infection, loss of sensation, scar tissue surrounding the implant and a deflated or leaky implant.

This magazine only comes out a couple of times a year but it's a good value for anyone wanting an introduction to the various cosmetic surgery procedures.
