How will Britney Get Her Tattoo Removed?

After shaving her head a few days ago, Britney is already sporting a blonde wig. It seems likely she's decided she wants to grow her hair back rather than staying bald.

And what about the tattoos she had done on the same night? If she decides she wants to remove them, this will probably take longer than growing her hair back.

Although tattoo removal has made lots of advances in the past few years, it's still a process that takes 5 to 15 sessions to remove the tatoo completely. And as these appointments have to be scheduled several weeks apart to let the skin heal, it can take over a year to completely remove a tattoo. Treatments range from $150 to $600 so it is also a very expensive procedure.

Leslie Forrester, a registered nurse at the Liposuction and Cosmetic Surgery Institute in Chicago says that lasers are the best new technology for tattoo removal. The intense laser beam of light breaks up the colors on your skin and the body reacts by attacking the colors and thus fading them. Unfortunately people can experience several side effects including redness, irritation, loss of sensation and light bleeding.
