We are witnessing a new era in advertising. Why spend two million on a TV commercial when you can get potentially greater exposure with a cheap video ad on YouTube? Some of the more creative makeup companies have already put up ads on YouTube. We'll be seeing a lot more makeup and cosmetic surgery ads via this source soon. Here's an example from Lip Ink.
The lipstick ad you see here uses the same old ad formula we'd expect to see on TV. But the winning companies will be those who can harness the viral nature of the net community with creative video ads that compel people to show them off on their own sites and talk about them with their friends.
