Looking 10 Years Younger

The popular U.K. TV show, 10 Years Younger, is back for another season. Nicky Hambleton-Jones is the host of the show where people guess the ages of other people out at bingo halls, antique fairs and speed dating events. For those who are not yet 40 but are polled at 50 this is a sign that something needs to be done; be it a lifestyle change or a cosmetic makeover.

Participants on the show are transformed via brow-lifts, nose jobs and wrinkle removers.

Why has this show not been brought to America yet? I would watch it, no questions asked! Of course, maybe that's because I work with one of the board-certified Birmingham plastic surgeons who perform cosmetic surgery procedures, so I'm always seeing amazing transformations. But I think those "extreme makeover" shows sometimes go a little too far, trying to make a grandpa look like he's 35 or something. The bottom line is that people just want to look great for their age. Trust me, from what I've seen, growing old gracefully is still in vogue!
