Kim Cattrall at Fifty

Here's a recent photo of Kim Cattrall who turned 50 this August. Cattrall played steamy Samantha in Sex and the City. The Daily Mail comments that her lips are thinning and she has wrinkled skin. But most readers object. Here are some reader comments from today's Daily Mail site;

- If I look like Kim does at 50 I'll be a very happy woman!

- Women at 50 are SUPPOSED to have wrinkles and thinner lips!

- I saw Kim at the Tate and she looks amazing in real life. Not at all like the unflattering picture published here.

- What a sexist article! She looks fantastic.

- Wrinkled skin and thinning lips? Part of life's tapestry. She looks sensational at 50, and natural in an industry known for its artificiality.

- She's still beautiful. A much better look than the over-stretched, face-lifted women in Hollywood. Plus, she has a figure that women in their 30s would die for.

- Her lips look just fine. A younger woman would look just the same if caught in a similar facial expression. Also, it appears she hasn't succumbed to the Hollywood botox obsession where everyone looks dead. It's a shame that if a person wants to look natural, it's no longer acceptable. SAD.

- You must be kidding? She's stunning. Far more important so is her acting. She is doing fantastic work on the stage and I can't wait to see her in a movie. In the same class as Catherine Deneuve.

Cattrall is rumored to be joining the cast of Desperate Housewives soon to play Edie's (Nicollette Sheridan) wild sister.

And I for one thinks she looks FABULOUS! Her teeth are still gorgeous and white, her hair is still full and bouncy, her body is AMAZING. She has aged so very gracefully. How can you criticize someone for being the best they can be at their age? Shame on you, and I hope I look that wonderful when I turn fifty.

People in Hollywood have such a skewed view of what is "beautiful". I've seen eighty-five year old women with long, flowing white hair that just take my breath away. They have wrinkles, laugh lines, and forgot about working out thirty years ago. Beauty is something so subjective. It shouldn't be defined by any standard, because no two people are the same. The sooner we all realize this, the sooner we can start appreciating ourselves.

Kudos to you, Kim, for aging so gracefully!

This site is disgusting. The world is dying, and look what you're doing. Even worse, you take a beautiful woman and try to make her look bad. Why not show an ugly woman, then everyone can rant on her and she can go kill herself. Then would you be happy?
