Nora Ephron on Getting Old

One of the hottest new books right now is Norah Ephron's personal views about aging; I Feel Bad About My Neck: And Other Thoughts on Being a Woman. Ephron, 65, writes a very comic and honest account of what it's like to age. The book is ranked as the third best selling book on Amazon right now and reviewers are raving about it. Ephron has some experience in trying to defy aging with some of the less-invasive cosmetic makeover techniques. If you have girlfriends who are celebrating a mid life birthday, this book would be guaranteed to provide them with a few belly laughs. It would make a great gift.

Here's a tiny excerpt;

"At the age of fifty-five you will get a saggy roll just above your waist even if you are painfully thin.

This saggy roll just above your waist will be especially visible from the back and will force you to reevaluate half the clothes in your closet, especially the white shirts."

Update August 7th: Libby Copeland has just written an entertaining but not-too-glowing review about Nora Ephron's views on aging.
