These pictures of Barbara Streisand were taken just outside of the Lasky Cosmetic Surgery Clinic in Beverly Hills. It looks like the veil is meant to hide some very recent plastic surgery. If she just went in for botox or a collagen injection, she probably wouldn't feel the need to wear a veil.
It's more likely she's just had a face-lift or other serious cosmetic surgery. The timing seems right for her planned come-back to the public limelight. Earlier this year, Barbra, 66, (born April 24th 1942) elated her fans by saying she will be doing one more cross-country tour.
The Lasky Clinic is one of the most prestigious places in Beverly Hills for cosmetic surgery procedures. The clinic celebrates their 25th birthday this year. They say they take 'a holistic approach' to the field of cosmetic surgery.
Barbra Streisand's ambitious cross-country tour starts October 4th, 2006 and continues through November. This will likely be the last chance if you want to see her performing. Streisand will be live in Philadelphia, New York City, Washington, DC, Michigan, Boston, Sunrise Florida, Atlanta, San Jose, Los Angeles and Los Vegas.
When Barbra was a teenager, her mother emphatically discouraged her from going into show business because she didn't think her daughter had the good looks required for success. This cast a negative tinge to Barbra's self-esteem all through her life. Nevertheless, she's gone on to become one of the most stellar and successful recording artists of all time.
Here's a beautiful earlier video clip of Barbra Streisand and Neil Diamond singing "You Don't Bring Me Flowers Anymore".
