ArteFill: The End of Face-Lifts?

If you are using collagen today to fill in the wrinkles of your face, you'll be glad to hear there are new fillers that may be approved by the FDA this summer which last for several years. This compares with today's collagen injections which need to be replaced as often as every six weeks for a cost of over $300 per visit.
The new long-lasting wrinkle filler is called ArteFill. If approved it may make collagen obsolete. Collagen is a natural product that is absorbed by the body with time. ArteFill, on the other hand, is a synthetic material.
