The Best Calorie Counter?

Two sisters in New Jersey have invented a nifty calorie and carb counter. It's an electronic device which counts down calories and carbs from a pre-programeed list. You can set it, for example, for 1,200 calories and simply 'click off' the calories as you eat your food for the day. When it gets to zero, you know you've reached your limit for the day.

Curves, the international fitness chain, is their first large customer. They will be selling this counter in 5,000 of their 9,000 outlets beginning in September. Curves has over four million members.

The two enterprising sisters have already received interest from other sources including Weight Watchers, the Home Shopping Network and NutriSystem.

It sounds like they could make a mint with their weight loss gadget. "With a suggested retail price of $9.95 to $19.95 and a ridiculously low wholesale price, the Cal-Carb Clicker is priced to sell fast."
