Slim Aarons, 89, the celebrity photographer, died this Tuesday. He was known for creating beautiful images of the international Jet Set and their country homes.

Aarons defined "the image of the Beautiful People -- the international Jet Set who strode the world's stage in the postwar decades like young gods."
