Many dentists are not too keen on the whitening products you can buy in the stores. Most would recommend the custom-fitted trays with carbamide peroxide as the most effective treatment.

But this procedure is not very common because a lot of people have trouble following through with the process, which can take two weeks. They can also experience pain with this treatment and become too uncomfortable to complete the whitening process.
