According to the American Society for Aesthetic Plastic Surgery the top five surgical procedures for 2005 were lipoplasty (liposuction), breast augmentation, blepharoplasty (cosmetic eyelid surgery), rhinoplasty (nose reshaping), and abdominoplasty (tummy tuck).

Here's an update...the ASAPS just released its figures for 2007 a few days ago: Liposuction (456,828 procedures), Breast augmentation (399,440), Eyelid surgery (240,763), Abdominoplasty (185,335), and Female breast reduction (153,087). I work with a plastic surgery practice that offers all of these procedures in Santa Rosa - breast augmentation and liposuction are incredibly popular procedures. Looks like rhinoplasty is decreasing in popularity nationwide, or maybe those surgeries are holding pretty steady while others are increasing. Breast reduction doesn't surprise me being on the list, it's often a part of the "Mommy Makeover" procedures that are all the rage these days.
