According to a recent poll about ten percent of all patients who've had cosmetic surgery will need follow up surgery to correct medical problems they experience after faulty surgery.

This number has shot up by fifty percent in the last couple of years. It used to be only seven percent of all cosmetic surgery patients in 2004.

It's worth while researching the quality of your cosmetic surgery specialist very carefully.

Everyone wants a quality surgeon. But not everyone does enough research and legwork to find the surgeon who's right for them. Be sure to ask about your surgeon's background, and don't hesitate to "shop" surgeons to find one who matches your personal style. I work with a plastic surgeon in Columbia, Maryland and he often takes the time to explain to women and men considering cosmetic surgery the risks and benefits involved. He can show before and after photos of past patients and even connect new patients with people who have had the procedure they're considering. Hope this helps people as they're trying to find a talented, skilled surgeon.
